Final proofs arrive - a last check before the book goes to press

The 'bluelines' have arrived. Proofs of all the pages, containing text and the photographs in place. This must be throughly checked and corrected before the final phase, printing, takes place. It's a nervous period with no turning back once the press starts rolling. The first book is now just weeks away, exciting times.

It must be exciting and also rewarding to finally see how the book will look once it has gone to print. At least then you know all the hard work and effort has been worth it to get something you can be really proud of at the end of it all
